On software front, Honor 7X comes loaded with Android 7.0 overlay-ed with their own Emotion UI version 5.1 which gives some pretty decent features and add-ons to the user experience. One pretty good and welcome change is the option to choose the home screen type either to standard one which shows all apps on home screen or a Drawer which shows all apps on drawer screen. There are few additional notable features like Automatic split screen which would automatically split the screen and show the content when a user just clicks a notification. For ex: If an user watching a video and suddenly an email arrives and shows in notification panel, user can just click on the notification and the screen automatically splits into two without disturbing the video. Other notable features are Portrait effect selfie which can turn on one tap facial recognition real-time preview and there are some palm gestures also included.  The Wi-Fi bridge feature is a pretty neat one too using which one can share their Wi-Fi itself and make this phone as a Wi-Fi router in order to share a Wi-Fi network.  And for selfie lovers, there is a Cosplay to play around.

Performance wise, the UI looks snappy and the basic functionalities like browsing, watching movies, using social media etc., is great and the device performs greatly in that regard.
