Samsung India announced the launch of two new additions to its highly successful Galaxy J series of smartphones - Galaxy J2 2016, with two new innovations – Turbo Speed Technology and Smart Glow, and Galaxy J Max, which comes with a 7-inch WXGA display.

Galaxy J2 2016 is a follow up version of the Galaxy J2 launched in 2015, which is currently India’s top selling smart phone. Galaxy J2 2016 has been re-engineered, re-designed and re-loaded with new ‘Make for India’ features such as Turbo Speed Technology (TST), for improving device performance, and Smart Glow, a next-gen colour LED notification system for the convenience of the user. TST is a revolutionary innovation which results in superior device performance including native apps loading up to 40% faster than devices with double the RAM. J2 2016 houses a 5" HD Super AMOLED screen and the device measures 8mm in thickness. The device is powered by a 1.5 GHz Quad core processor backed with a 1.5 GB RAM. J2 2016 comes with a 8 GB internal storage which is expandable upto 128GB using a Micro-SD card. J2 2016 houses a 2600 mAH battery and the device comes with Android Marshmallow out of the box overlayed with Samsung's TouchWiz UI. J2 2016 comes with a 8MP rear camer and a 5MP front cameras with an f2.2 aperture. The J2 2016 would be available in black, silver and gold colors. 

Galaxy J Max is designed for those who are looking for a complete entertainment experience on a mobile device. Building on this insight, Galaxy J Max offers a 7-inch WXGA TFT LCD display along with 4G VoLTE connectivity. Its 4,000 mAh battery enables full day media playback. With up to 200GB expandable memory using Micro SD card, users need not worry about running out of space for storing their favorite content. Samsung’s proprietary Ultra Data Saving (UDS) mode will also enable consumers to save up to 50% mobile data. Galaxy J Max is powered by a 1.5 GHz Quad core  processor backed with a 1.5 GB RAM, this also comes with a 8GB internal storage which is expandable upto 200GB using a Micro-SD card. The devices is just 8.7 mm thick and its light weight. J Max comes with Android Lollipop 5.1 topped with Samsung's TouchWiz UI. J Max sports a 8MP rear camera and a 2MP front camera. 

Both Samsung Galaxy J2 2016 and Galaxy J Max also feature S bike mode and Ultra Dating Saving mode making them the most differentiated offerings in the affordable segment.

The Samsung Galaxy J2 2016 device will be available from July 10, 2016 across all channels, at a price of INR 9,750. Both Galaxy J2 2016 and Galaxy J Max will have a six month data offer from Airtel where prepaid consumers can benefit from a double data offer worth up to INR 4,500.
