Gionee today officially launched a new brand identity at the Mobile World Congress. The new brand identity involves a new logo, together with “Make Smiles” as its new purpose statement.  The new logo combines the letters “I” and “j” to form a “G” which represents Gionee and subtly conveys the message, “I am joyful”.

Gionee also introduced their latest Gionee S8 featuring hassle-free video and photo-shooting systems, 3D Touch and a loop metal design.

Gionee S8 sports a 0.7 mm 5.5" FHD AMOLED display with 2.5D glass coating, the phone is able to stay compact without sacrificing quality and still easy to hold. Gioneed is equipped with an enhanced camera system which uses RWB technology,  as well as F1.8 aperture and 6P lens which enables users to take optimum images in low-light scenarios. Also, Gionee has upgraded their camera software to Image+ 2.0 which allows to click better selfie using full skin beauty function. Also, S8 has text recognition which is a powerful feature that enables users share actual text from articles through photos. 

Gionee S8 is embedded AKM4941 HD recording chip and two highly sensitive microphones which allows to capture videos with clear and high quality sound.  

Along with the amazing camera features, Gionee S8 also comes with a 3D touch capability using which it can sense 3 levels of force including 'touch' 'tap' and 'press' . Touch to Select an application, Tap to preview the content of any application, and press to run an application.

Gionee S8 runs on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) out of the box overlayed with their own Amigo OS. S8 comes with an internal 64GB ROM and a 4GB RAM for performance. The device is backed with a 3000 mAH battery. Gionee S8 is prices at 449 Euros.
