Above are some standard specifications of Nokia Lumia 610.  This device is primarily targeted to Youth who cannot afford much money on high end smartphones but would love to enjoy all/most of the features available in high end smartphones. Phone is pretty decent and the performance is smooth and with Windows and its standard features, its really a phone which is worth investing by youngsters. The Nokia Lumia 610 is a multi-award winning smartphone which picked up 3 awards at the Mobile world congress 2012.

Design is sleek and with attractive colors like Magenta, Cyan , White and black are the first thing you would notice in Lumia 610 series phones. The bright and dynamic color palette of the back panels are matched to the colors of Windows Phone Live Tiles which is really good.

Nokia Location Locator:

The Nokia Lumia 610 comes with free, exclusive and regularly updated Nokia location based apps. Nokia Drive offers free voice guided turn-by-turn car
navigation for over 100 countries in over 50 languages With a complete offline experience Nokia Drive saves data costs and is reliable also in areas with poor cellular coverage Drive and public transport routes on Nokia Maps helps you find your way. With Nokia Transport, you can plan your daily commute and urban routes.

Mobile Work Buddy:
The Nokia Lumia 610 is also a great smartphone for students who will appreciate the built-in Microsoft Office app. Word mobile, PowerPoint mobile, Excel mobile to manage documents, and OneNote mobile to capture notes, ideas, pictures and voice memos make working on the go easier.

Camera Extras:
Imaging has always been a focus for Nokia and now the Nokia Lumia 610 brings a new, unique new imaging experience - Camera Extras that makes capturing and sharing photos that much more amazing! Providing a range of four new shot modes, the solution helps enhance the capabilities of the Lumia camera and, quite literally in panoramic mode, broaden the consumer’s photo-taking horizons.

These include - Smart Group Shot: Capturing the perfect group picture can be tricky to pull off. Inevitably, there are some people who turn away at the last moment while everyone else is showing off their best smiles. With some supreme technological brilliance, the Smart Group shot eliminates the need for
constant re-takes and lets the consumer capture great pictures of their friends with a single shot. With a single press of the camera button, the application
takes five shots. Using advanced algorithms, the application lets the consumer select the best ‘face’ shot for each person in the photo. Consumers can also override the camera’s choices and select an alternative face for each person in the image. This could be used, for example, if they wanted an arty image of
everyone looking at each other, or everyone looking off into the distance. It is therefore not only an extremely practical, but also a really fun, creative tool to play with.

The above are some of the features which Nokia Lumia 610 offers and there are many more features like ‘An app a day’ , XBOX Live, Action shot, Self-Timer, Panorama Mode etc.,

One of the last feature which I would like to highlight is “Nokia Play To”

Nokia Play To:

In its Beta stage currently, Nokia Play To helps consumers play media stored on their mobile, wirelessly on other DLNA capable devices connected to their network. These devices could include TV’s, BlueRay players, Mediaplayer in Windows 7, etc. With the aid of this solution consumers can therefore show the photos and videos taken with their mobile to their friends wirelessly, on their TVs. Or they can listen to their favourite music stored on their mobile with their home audio system. All they need to is launch Play To, select the device and media they want to play. There is no configuration needed, once WLAN is on and all devices are connected to the same network. All you need is a network with WLAN access as well as a DLNA capable playing device (e.g. TV,A/V amplifier, Blu-ray player or PS3 game console). All devices including mobile must be connected to the same network.

We would write detailed hands-on once we get a chance to lay our hands and experiment with the phone for long time. These are our first impressions and hope you enjoyed reading.
